About Ana Martins Teixeira

Ana Teixeira is a Senior Researcher and Consultant in ‘Geotechnical Reliability and Risk’ at Deltares. With a strong background in geotechnical engineering, she combines her passion for innovation with a commitment to infrastructure safety and reliability.

She specialises in managing geotechnical uncertainties through data-driven and risk-based methodologies. Her work contributes to the development of advanced geotechnical software solutions that enhance infrastructure resilience, integrate uncertainty modeling, and improve geotechnical decision-making.

Ana leads research and consulting efforts to strengthen the resilience of critical infrastructure, particularly in delta regions. Her work ensures infrastructure is prepared for future climate challenges and evolving transportation demands.

Since 2022, she has been actively involved in the RESET (Reliable Embankment for Safe Expansion of Traffic) research program. In collaboration with Deltares, ProRail, engineering firms, and Delft University of Technology, she works to support the safe expansion and diversification of the Dutch railway infrastructure.
