About Ashraf Al-Mohagry
Ashraf works at Deltares as a Junior Consultant & Researcher in the Hydraulics for Infrastructure and Industry (H2I) department. His role includes modelling and analysing hydraulic systems and providing specialised advice to clients. Ashraf holds an MSc in Civil Engineering and Management from the University of Twente, Netherlands (2023), and a BSc in Civil Engineering with distinction from the University of Malaya, Malaysia (2020).
His master’s thesis focused on saltwater entrainment from bathymetric depressions, where he conducted Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis on a small-scale laboratory cavity to investigate the dynamics of saltwater interface during the flushing process with fresh water, followed by an upscaled analysis on a scour hole in the Haringvliet Estuary.
