About Bas Reijmerink
With over 12 years of experience in metocean, Bas brings together fundamental scientific knowledge, advanced numerical modelling (waves and hydrodynamics) and statistics in daily applications. He works as project manager and technical consultant within challenging, multidisciplinary projects in offshore and coastal engineering. Within the team of “Hydrodynamics and Offshore Technologies” he works together with highly motivated colleagues to provide future proof solutions for challenges like climate change and the energy transition (offshore renewables) in a rapidly changing environment.
One of the latest projects where Bas and his team successfully worked on is the metocean study of the Princess Elisabeth Zone (PEZ) in Belgium for FPS Economy. As part of this commission, they have developed an online public data viewer through which all data (45-year long hourly timeseries and operational and extreme statistics) can be accessed, viewed and retrieved. The PEZ data viewer is accessible for the public.
