About Bas van Vossen

Bas van Vossen (MSc Applied Physics) is deputy head of the Industrial hydrodynamics group of Deltares and Team Lead of the Intake & Outfall Team. Gradually widening his scope from turbulence and fluid dynamics, he has gained more than 12 years of experience in coastal engineering and industrial flow technology. In recent years the Intake & Outfall Team optimized various of the largest intake and outfall systems for process and cooling water for power and desalination plants. Projects concentrating on CAPEX and OPEX reduction as well as minimizing impacts and permitting processes were carried out for Clients all over the world, including Barakah NPP pumping stations (UAE), Shin Kori NPPs and Shin Hanul NPPs (South Korea).
