About Benthe Noijons
Benthe Noijons, also known as Benthe Noyons, is an expert on the topic of safety from floods. She holds a Master in Environmental Engineering, specialising in anthropogenic landscapes and a Bachelor in Global Sustainability Science.
She mainly works in projects aiming to improve flood safety, mostly researching stability of levees. Using her broad background, she brings interdisciplinary knowledge and systems thinking to the team. Her experience at Deltares includes Geocentrifuge experiments, Agent-based modelling, Field experiments, Numerical modelling, GIS, programming and field work. Her work connects to Moonshot 2: Keeping the world safe from flooding.
