About David Geurts
David Geurts is specialised in water governance and stakeholder engagement. He has extensively studied the governance system and stakeholder networks of the North Sea. In addition, he was involved in projects regarding Integrated Coastal Zone Management in Kuwait and Maritime Spatial Planning within the EU.
David has also made significant contributions to projects such as the development of a Blue Economy Roadmap for Mozambique and the creation of a Blue Gender Action Plan for Panama. Prior to his role at Deltares, David completed a traineeship at the economic department of the Embassy of the Kingdom of The Netherlands in Washington D.C. He earned his master's degree in Environment and Resource Management, specialising in Water Governance, from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. David's educational background includes a bachelor's degree in Political Science from the Radboud Universiteit.
