About Carola Seyfert

Carola works as a connecting joint in many different projects, from long-term morphodynamic modelling of the Wadden Sea under SLR, over stakeholder empowerment through Agent-based Modelling, to laboratory experiments on scour protection stability. Her background with a Ph.D. in fundamental, small-scale fluid dynamics gives her a unique perspective on Deltares’ research-oriented work. Carola focuses on providing the projects she works for with a thought from outside the box, and a big-picture approach.

Sustainability and awareness for ecology and biodiversity are very important for Carola, and they are as much as possible a focus in her projects. At Deltares, Carola has worked in research and consultancy projects, including projects for the Dutch government and collaborations with universities and other research and knowledge institutes.

Carola is a guest scientist at University of Amsterdam.
