Hsoc Mathai George is an architect and urban designer specializing in urban climate - resilience and nature-based solutions. At Deltares his work involves integrating spatial, technical, social, cultural, and policy aspects within climate-resilience projects. His work includes a spectrum of topics such as water-bodem stuurend; urban nature-based solutions; water-sensitive urban development, management of wastewater and rainwater flows; soil-health; water peace and security; capacity development and awareness building programs, and transition to gas-free neighbourhoods.
Hsoc has been involved in several Water as Leverage projects, which have inspired an integrated, inclusive and design-led approach to working. Hsoc is passionate about projects that build on local knowledge and enable local ownership. His core skills include design, project management, co-creation with beneficiaries and actors, analysis and strategic advice.
