About Jacco Groeneweg
Dr. J. Groeneweg has 25 years of experience in the field of wave modelling and hydraulic engineering. The experience is based on research, consultancy and educational activities.
During his Ph.D.-study Groeneweg investigated the mechanisms involved in the interaction between waves and currents. During the first couple of years at Deltares (formerly WL | Delft Hydraulics), Groeneweg participated as project leader and team member in research and consultancy projects, mainly directed at on-going development of the spectral wave model SWAN and of the Boussinesq-type wave model TRITON that is developed and used in consultancy projects at Deltares. The results of his research have been published and presented at several national and international conferences and workshops and in international scientific journals and proceedings.
At present Groeneweg is a principal researcher and is project leader of a number of comprehensive, large-scale project, most of them commissioned by Dutch governmental agencies and member of several review committees.
