About Kim Gommans
Kim Gommans works as a researcher/consultant on water quality challenges of surface water. With a specific interest in agriculture, many of her projects focus on making this more sustainable. Preferably in cooperation with farmers. Using data analysis and fieldwork, she investigates the current state of surface water quality. Kim's projects deal with, for instance, (deep) infiltration, monitoring surface water quality and new, practical purification techniques.
Her work contributes to research into healthy and resilient water systems for people and nature. Maintaining sufficient freshwater of good quality for both natural ecosystems and human consumption is key here.
