About Laura Nougues

Laura Nouguès is a researcher and advisor at the Subsurface Systems and Technology department. Within this department, she mainly focuses on land subsidence, peatland oxidation and soil health issues. She contributes to projects for the European Commission related to the European Mission 'A Soil Deal for Europe' and to the Dutch Research Programme Greenhouse Gases in Peatlands (NOBV). Early 2025, Laura set up an experimental soil health pilot at the Deltares campus in Delft, where the soil health of urban soils is investigated.

In addition, Laura is a member of the core team of the Platform Bodembeheer, a network that facilitates the exchange of knowledge and experience in the soil and subsurface sector by organizing soil-related meetings.
