About Miguel Dionisio Pires
Dr. Miguel Dionisio Pires is an expert on water quality and limnology. His main focus is on cyanobacteria research in the broadest sense covering data analysis, use of innovative measurement techniques, ecosystem understanding, mitigation, measures and forecasting.
Miguel Dionisio Pires is the Deltares project leader for the FP7 project INFORM, the H2020 project EOMORES and the ESA ARTES project CyMonS. He is the initiator and co-developer of the Algae Radar, a forecasting model for cyanobacteria for all water bodies within a specific region.
