About Valeria Di Fant
Valeria is a PhD candidate at Deltares and Utrecht University (Physical Geography Department). Her background is in climate and sustainability studies, which she studied at Utrecht University and Wageningen University & Research. Her background is interdisciplinary, and she is thus familiar with qualitative, semi-quantitative and quantitative approaches.
Her PhD is embedded within the Horizon2020 Pathways2Resilience (P2R) project, which aims at supporting 100+ regions throughout Europe in increasing their climate resilience by means of developing new Climate Resilient Strategies and Plans. Within the project, Valeria’s research particularly focuses on opportunities for climate adaptation and developing an approach for transformational adaptation pathways. Both the project as a whole and Valeria’s PhD strongly contribute to the Moonshot called Deltas remain habitable.
