Stedelijke Waterkwaliteit, Klimaat en Adaptatie : achtergrondrapport

Results of the first national assessment of the impact of climate change and -adaptation measures on urban water quality. Literature review, interviews and stakeholder workshops have shown how urban surface water quality is affected. Water authorities and municipalities do not yet have insight in local impact on water quality and practical strategies and measures to deal with the impact. We identified impacts on ecological water quality and on suitability of the water for 13 human use functions. This project provides the basis for solutions: overview of potential impacts, solutions and advice for water managers. As a result of this project, water quality is added as a new major theme on the national platform for knowledge exchange on climate adaptation: klimaatadaptatienederland.nl.
