Technology scan wave information from satellites

Using satellite data in our work can help improve our wave models and wave knowledge, allowing for more accurate hydraulic boundary conditions and wave forecasts. Thus, ensuring safe and habitable deltas for now and in the future. With a new generation of satellite sensors and processing methods, new possibilities emerge to use wave information from satellite data. Until now, the use of wave information derived from satellite data was limited to offshore areas and one parameter: the significant wave height. However, due to new technologies, wave information becomes increasingly reliable closer to the shore.
