Bubble screens

Bubble screens are used to mitigate salt intrusion through shipping locks. Deltares recently conducted detailed assessments of the performance of a bubble screen in a physical scale model in order to understand how this technology works. These measurements will be used to validate computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and to work towards the optimisation of the technology.
