Simulating coastal morphodynamics with Delft3D : case study Egmond aan Zee

Results obtained with the stand and an adapted Delft3D versions were compared for different angles of wave attack and at different instants in the tidal cycle. Moreover, the behaviour of a nourishment scenario was simulated with the two versions of the code. Modelling results show an increase in the longshore currents, mainly resulting from the new method used for computing bed shear stress.
